Water Medics

Medicare can provide water safety first aiders and a safety boat if required with RYA crew qualified to powerboat level two.

Our team have lots of knowledge and experience keeping people safe not only on land but in and around water. We can provide full water safety cover from start to finish, including any crew that are needed.

Our Medicare swift water rescue technicians are all trained to provide pre-hospital care from basic first aid and beyond which can include, but is not limited to:

Casualty Observations
(Blood pressure, blood glucose, temperature, pulse oximetry)

Airway management
(postural, supraglottic, nasal and oropharyngeal airways)

Haemorrhage control
(Tourniquet, wound packing, bandaging, and the use of haemostatic gauze)

Defibrillation

Emergency oxygen and pain relief
(Oxygen, Entonox and penthrox)

Exposure
(hypothermia and heatstroke)

Trauma care
(fracture management and immobilisation, head and spinal injuries)
